There's something thrilling about watching your food being cooked and that's exactly what you can do here, especially if you neglect to book and have to take your chances on a bar stool overlooking the kitchen. It's probably the place to go for a pre theatre bite to eat, being just around the corner from the Crucible and the Lyceum.

The fare is fairly standard Italian, featured heavily on pasta and pizza dishes, but the pizzas were very tasty and they turned up speedily enough for us to make it to the theatre in time for a pre curtain drink.

All in all, we had a value for money meal that fitted the bill perfectly.
