We went to the Ivory on Monday night and thought it might be quiet but was surprised when we arrived to see so many people, I’m not sure if the restaurant was full or not but it looked pretty full.

We had heard one or two reports about the place but never been so here’s my view.

The building itself is very special and well done with a quality finish throughout. We had a few drinks in the bar first as it was a good atmosphere in there and my wife had a peach Bellini and myself a pint of smooth larger as you can see we are very different but we were very well catered for, the bar staff seem to know what they are doing and really couldn't do enough for us.

Anyway we went through and were seated next to the piano which was a concern as we thought if this is playing then it may get a bit loud, but it didn't so all was well.

I ordered Mushroom soup which was clearly homemade with fresh home made bread followed by pork belly sat on creamy mash, the quality of the food is outstanding and I can't believe this place has not really come onto the Sheffield radar as many of my friends don’t even know about it, but they do now. I had the chocolate fondant for desert, which was excellent.

I’m sure it won’t be long before you can’t get in this place. Would recommend this venue on quality and service every time.
