This was about the fifth time I've been here and I was happy again.

Broccoli and Gorgonzola soup (£4) and sticky toffee pudding (£6) were the best I've ever had. However the 10oz sirloin (£15) was nothing special; it came with a decent salad but only four chips which was a shame as they were gorgeous chunky skin-on chips. Next time I'll have one of the pasta main courses which are under a tenner.

The atmosphere is good, not too exuberant but not too formal either (only one table were wearing the party hats out of their Christmas crackers). The staff are a strong point; they were all welcoming, gave us a free massive jug of iced water and didn't put a foot wrong.
