Having eaten at Marco@Milano it's hard to know what to praise first. They know how to cook, they care about their customers and they don't charge silly prices. And, get this - as a vegetarian I didn't feel like an afterthought. I asked them to make me a salad (no cheese) and I got a gorgeous, large roast vegetable platter with a side order of garlic bread which was enough to share (but I ate it all).

I looked at the porky plates of my fellow diners, they looked at mine and I smiled smugly because, for once, mine was bigger and better than theirs. In fact, the only thing I envied was their side orders of vegetables. The potatoes and cauliflower looked particularly good.

Having washed my main course down with a glass of crisp, perfectly chilled white wine, I went for the chocolate and pecan pudding. However full you think you are, the gates of your stomach will open wide to receive this delight. It was so good that the three of us even considered sharing another one between us.

The two hour sittings at busy times might put some people off. If it does, then I'd suggest going midweek when you might be able to stay longer. As it was, the service was so swift that we had ample time to eat without feeling rushed. In fact, no one asked us to leave we just left when we were good and ready.

The food was good, the service was good, the wine was good and I'm ready to go back. Highly recommended.
